Good morning sir. Talked to my dad this weekend regarding your adventures through north and South America. I have great respect for you in completing this mission. My dad, Steve, said he first met you in Bonita, CA at a Starbucks off Central Ave. he recommended a a place to visit and stay the night, Mike’s Skyranch between San Felipe and Ensedada. Anyway, I believe I requested from you to include me in your daily emails/blogs so I could read your experiences each day/week. Unfortunately I lost coo act with you around march or April. Good to know you made it home safe and sound. Thanks for sending these past few emails. Wish you the best and Happy Holidays to you and your family. Joaquin.

    Lenny my friend,

Just caught up (finally) with your superb blog mate. Much more detail that I’ve managed to produce in mine so thanks for jogging my fading memories. Nice idea to leave the final entry so long and get away from it all to finish it off.
It’s funny but for my trip at least with my time restraints it felt like it was rush rush all the time with not much inbetween but you’ve proven that it wasn’t. For sure the time spent with you from Belem to the accident was by far the most fun for me on my trip so thanks again.
Since we parted I rode Europe for six weeks in 2011 with my long suffering partner on a Moto Guzzi in relative luxory but sadly plans for more of the same are well on hold as I’ve a little boy with another on the way. I still have the old XTZ660 which is still covered in mud/sand/dirt from SA believe it or not!! Right now we’re building a new house and so the plan is to park it in the entrance hallway with some pictures…and kept on charge of course for the next one, some day.
Hope life is treating you well and as you said it would be nice to see each other on the road again someday or off it……………………………..TAT??
And remember the worse it is the better it’ll look on the blog! And yes, you may steal your truck skid marks picture from my blog.

    Happy Christmas brother,

    Ian Hill
